THE
PARAMOUNT BOOK OF BLUES (1927): Mainspring Press Collection The New York Recording Laboratories announced its first edition of The Paramount Book of Blues in 1924, following its acquisition of the Black Swan label, but no copies have ever been discovered. A second edition (from which the page above was taken) was produced in 1927, featuring artist photos and rather inventive biographies. Also included were scores for 30 blues hits, supplied by NYRL's publishing affiliate, the Chicago Music Publishing Company.
