The
Victor Talking Machine Company's monthly supplements are a treasure-trove
of early advertising, artist photos and biographies, and discographic
details. Averaging 12 pages per month, each issue describes the
latest releases, artist activities and signings, and other Victor news.
These
little catalogs are among the rarest Victor ephemera. A single original
specimen from this early period can sell for far more than the cost
of this CD. The 1906 covers are especially attractive, with a new
painting for each month.
The
CD contains more than 400 pages, all carefully restored from the
finest surviving copies.* The high-resolution JPG format assures
excellent print-out quality for your personal research or browsing.
**
An
ordinary JPG viewer or editor is is required — Windows Picture
& Fax Viewer (pre-loaded on most newer Windows PCs), Paintbox, Portfolio, Photoshop,
and numerous others will work well. If you do not have a JPG viewer,
several versions available for free download on the Internet.
Whether
for serious research or many hours of enjoyable browsing, we think
you'll find these supplements to be indispensable!
*
A usable copy of the April 1904 supplement has not been found, but
will be included on an addenda CD if located.
