THE
CARUSO PICTURE RECORD
RCA-Victor produced this rare laminated picture disc for the South American market in 1933. It was not sold in the U.S. The
same coupling was issued in the U.S. in 1940 - possibly for jukebox
use - as Victor 26571, on an ordinary black-shellac pressing bearing
standard Victor black-paper labels. It was the tenor's only appearance
in the low-priced "pop" series, and is probably an even
rarer item than its more glamorous picture-disc counterpart. |
